About the Maker:

Netherton Foundry is a family-owned business located in South Shropshire, England. Their mission to restore the misuse of the Industrial Revolution that began in this very region back in the 18th century starts with sourcing their materials locally, primarily in the region of Shropshire. We admire that they are working sustainably with their partners to use finishes and materials that can be restored and even improve with age. Hand-spun iron wares are beautiful to cook on. They are the lightweight versions of cast iron with great heat retention and even distribution as well as a surface that can be seasoned over and over again to create a natural non-stick finish. Perfect for all those seasonal pies! With a little extra love and care this cookware will become a favorite to any home cook enthusiast.

I put the iron cake tin I picked up to use today for a coffee cake, and I must say, it turned out to be one of the finest I've ever eaten. The cake rose beautifully, had a perfect balance of moistness inside and crunch outside, a clear indication of the tin's quality, especially considering I'm still honing my baking skills. Remarkably, a bit of butter was all it took, and the cake released seamlessly on the very first try, no seasoning required. (It will only get better)! Thanks Three Bales for carrying great kitchen objects.
