About the Maker:
Netherton Foundry is a family-owned business located in South Shropshire, England. Their mission to restore the misuse of the Industrial Revolution that began in this very region back in the 18th century starts with sourcing their materials locally, primarily in the region of Shropshire. We admire that they are working sustainably with their partners to use finishes and materials that can be restored and even improve with age. Hand-spun iron wares are beautiful to cook on. They are the lightweight versions of cast iron with great heat retention and even distribution as well as a surface that can be seasoned over and over again to create a natural non-stick finish. Perfect for all those seasonal pies! With a little extra love and care this cookware will become a favorite to any home cook enthusiast.
What others think:
"This cloche is very easy to use and us one of the best-loved pieces of kitchen equipment. It traps steam during baking for impressive oven spring, making the most superb sourdough bread. Removing the dome for the last 10 minutes ensure a crispy crust. Its my favorite part of the bake the big reveal to see how the load has turned out. It has never failed me! A little tip: if like flavor of a beautiful crust but you want it slightly soften, wrao the loaf in a damp tea towel when removed from the baking tray and place on a cooling rack." -Jude
